Block Course
Scope & Target Group
The Block Course "Materials, Functioning and Technology of Batteries" covers the full spectrum of electrochemical energy storage and conversion, from theory to engineering and from fundamentals to applications. The Block Course is held in two parts of one week each, ususally in spring.
For the first time, the Block Course of the GS-EES is open to all interested PhD, master students and post-docs, no matter at which institution they are enrolled. Registration can be one for each part individually.
The next Block Course is taking place in spring 2025.

Impressions of Block Course 2023
What participants of the Block Course say:
"I learned a lot from the Block Course about fundamentals and principles of some of the research topics I am working on, I also met and connected to amazing guys at the conference which could be helpful later."
"Refreshing my mind about the knowledge that I learnt before. Learing new concepts, increasing my network by getting to know new people in this course and having a chance to discuss the concept with others."
"I liked every part of the Block Course. As there was a lot of team activites and as a new person in thies field, I learned so many things that will be very helpful in the future and I enjoyed all the activites in a multicultural environment. Overall I leraned a lot."
